Privacy Policy

This policy explains how HaloWake handles information in the iOS app and through support. HaloWake does not sell personal information, use data for advertising, or track you across apps or websites.

Summary

Version 1.0 does not use a HaloWake account, analytics SDK, advertising SDK, or HaloWake-operated application server. HaloWake does not transmit your wake schedule, settings, wake history, or imported audio to us.

Information stored on your device

HaloWake stores your wake time, enabled state, selected Halo and sound source, sound and haptic settings, nap state, selected music metadata, and wake history locally in the app's storage. If you import an audio file, HaloWake copies it into local application storage and excludes that copied file from backup.

iOS may include other local app data in a device backup or migration according to your Apple and iPhone settings. Clear wake history inside HaloWake. Deleting the app removes its remaining local app data from the device, subject to any backup you control.

Alarm permission

HaloWake asks iOS for permission to schedule alarms with AlarmKit. Apple controls this permission and the related system alarm state. You can revoke access in iPhone Settings.

Apple Music

If you choose to connect Apple Music, HaloWake uses Apple's MusicKit framework to request permission, search the Apple Music catalog or your music library, check subscription playback eligibility, display related song metadata and artwork, and play a song after you tap Play. Apple processes those requests under its own terms and privacy policy. HaloWake does not receive your Apple ID password or Apple Music credentials, and we do not receive or retain your Apple Music searches on a HaloWake server.

Support email

If you email support, we receive your email address, message, and any information or attachments you choose to include. We use that information only to answer your request, troubleshoot the issue, protect the service, and keep necessary support records. Your email provider and our email provider process the message to deliver and store it. Service providers may use support information only to provide their services to us and must protect it appropriately. We do not use support messages for advertising or sell them.

Data retention

On-device information remains until you clear it or delete the app, subject to your iOS backup settings. We retain ordinary support correspondence for up to 12 months after the request is resolved, then delete it unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or a legal obligation.

Your choices and requests

You can decline or revoke Alarm and Apple Music permission in iPhone Settings. You can clear wake history in HaloWake and remove remaining local data by deleting the app. To ask us to access, correct, or delete information you sent to support, email us from the address involved in the request. We may need to verify that address before acting.

Children

HaloWake is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

Changes to this policy

If HaloWake's data practices change, we will update this policy and its effective date before the change is included in a public release. Material changes will also be reflected in the App Store privacy disclosures where required.
